The first thing to do when starting an online internet marketing business is to register a domain name. You want to make sure that you setup an online presence from the very beginning. Most internet gurus will tell you to try and register your first and last name dot co.RW or even com if it is available and they are right. That is the best way to start promoting yourself as an internet marketer. If that is not available, you can try and get something close to it by adding your middle name, the word blog, a hyphen, or something else to make it unique. Then, you will start to get traffic from people typing in your name to find out who you are and see if you are legitimate and "for real." You would be surprised how fast you can rank highly for your name. Even if other people have the same name.
There will not usually be a lot of competition for someone's name in the major search engines unless they have the name of a celebrity or online business mogul. That is not very likely. So most people will earn a high ranking in the search engines for their name with relatively little work. This can be done by promoting your site as much as possible through things like social media, blogs, writing articles and submitting to article directories, posting on forums with a link back to your site, posting on question and answer sites. There are a million different ways to get your name out there on the internet. We all know the most popular sites. So you can start there, but as you start to run out of sites to post on just keep posting more on the major ones because they get the most traffic. This will get you started on your way to building your name into a brand and your ideas into an actual business.
Once you have done this successfully, you will be at the forefront of one of the fastest growing, most profitable, highest margin, all around best industries to do business in that the world has ever seen. Of course I am talking about internet marketing. What else can you do all on your own with no real experience or expertise, and build with no, or a very small investment that is completely and totally scalable to any level. Only internet marketing offers all of these things. Now don't get me wrong, you do have to be willing to work at it and write articles, email, promote your site, and do everything it takes to be successful, but as long as you commit to doing these things and following a proven, successful process then you too will be successful. Plus, these things can be outsourced as well. So you really only need to do what you enjoy.
